Back in 1559, City Palace was built in the middle of the lake by Maharana Udai Singh. It was artificially created in the 14th century, with two islands in the middle of the water. Crater Lake earned its name thanks to the collapse of Mt. Mazama almost 8,000 years ago. Now, the lake has been left with crystal blue water that is surrounded by 2,000-feet-tall cliffs. The lake is so clear that people can see for an eternity.
