The best summer music festivals

There’s nothing better than spending a long weekend in the summer drinking cold beverages, dressed in your most colorful clothes and listening to your favorite bands in a field with your friends. Music festival season is a highlight of the year, no matter what type of music you are interested in. To make sure you don’t miss out, here are some of the best summer music festivals!

Coachella

Probably one of the most famous music festivals, Coachella is in April and is known for the fashion and celebrity guests as much as the music. Based in Indio California, Coachella is THE festival to see and be seen at, and with past headliners such as Beyonce, Radiohead, Oasis, and Prince, it’s easy to see why!

Governors Ball

If you head to Randall’s Island, New York City between May 31st and June 2nd you may just be lucky enough to bump into Lil Wayne, Florence and the Machine, the 1975 and the Strokes as well as a whole host of other bands and artists at the Governors Ball.

Lollapalooza

The Chicago festival always has an incredible amount of artists performing, and 2019 sees Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, and Twenty One Pilots taking the headlines. The chances are that you will love at least one of the performers on over the August weekend, so it’s always worth a visit.

Glastonbury

Easily the most famous festival in the UK, Glastonbury festival is a hippy haven, and despite having a fantastic lineup (this year’s headliners are The Killers, The Cure, and Stormzy), the festival has a cult following due to its atmosphere and culture.

Woodstock 50

Peace, love, and music – there is something extraordinary and nostalgic about Woodstock, and it is arguably the most iconic festival of all time. 2019 marks 50 years since the socially conscious festival began, and the line up includes Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus and Imagine Dragons. It’s a big legacy to keep up with, but even if it’s half as good as the original, it will be a weekend to remember.
