We don’t envy the grocery store clerks who must label each product that the store keeps in stock. While many items might require some descriptive labels and creative writing, it is hard to imagine what led to the employee responsible for this label, forgetting the word for banana.
Perhaps it was longer than a typical week, or the employee had a lot of things on their mind. Either way, today, we learned that in a pinch, “long yellow things” could be used as a synonym for banana.
