Converse shoes were designed in the early 20th century, and back then they were a sport’s shoe intended for basketball players and not as a regular ones people wear on a daily basis. But their popularity soon turned them into wardrobe staples, much like blue jeans.
Converse shoes have two extra holes on the side, that are the same as the shoelace holes. Most people just assume they’re there to give extra ventilation. But besides that purpose, it’s also to allow the wearer to get more creative with lacing them.
