Wow, the optimism about 2020 was just so grand. Pretty much everyone honestly believed it was going to be the best year ever, and they happily shared that enthusiasm with the public. This tweet is symbolic of that mutual innocence, don’t you agree?
The person who uttered this statement honestly thought that 2020 was going to be amazing, but sadly, that was only January 1st. As we all soon learned, the opposite proved to be true. Hear that sound? That’s all of us going, “Womp-womp,” all at once.
