It’s only when the tide is at its extremes that you really notice the difference. People watching the tide go out may not have thought the transformation was that dramatic, but when you see it here, you really notice the difference.
It’s almost like looking at two completely different scenes, with the high tide changing the landscape considerably. The river barely looks deep enough for a rowboat when it’s low, but perfect for water sports when it’s high.
