No matter what people say, spiders are incredibly scary. How would you feel if it was late at night and you bumped into this spidery-looking and extremely sharp, red-colored object? From some angles, it even looks like it has spikes! Turns out it’s something called an electrostatic animal guard.
Whenever an animal touches one of the prongs, it gets a little zap. It’s similar to an electric fence that prevents your animals from straying off into the wilderness, but it is smaller to better ensure security. We hope the original poster has not touched it.
