There’s weird things and there are weirdly scary things. In fact this has even been described as “a weird squirming living Lovecraftian nightmare found on someone’s lawn chair.” We can’t even imagine encountering this, especially with its big, gaping mouth.
A helpful person on the Internet informed the original poster that it is actually a hag moth. Turns out hag moth larva are also called monkey slugs, thanks in part to their fuzzy little legs. The good news, though? These unsightly bugs aren’t actually a danger to either crops or people.
