There are weird things that might make you think of something out of a science fiction movie, or maybe a government conspiracy. The original poster saw this wind turbine clipped onto cable lines near their house, just cheerfully spinning away.
We are sure they must have felt a sense of relief when they found out that the object is used for identifying flying objects. Apparently, it is a bad flight diverter, which delivers a more affordable method of reducing the danger to both lines and innocent birds.
