This is the type of attention to detail that makes Pixar fans rave about every single one of the studio’s movies. Take Gill, for example. In Finding Nemo, he is the leader of the Tank Gang, a group of fish who live in a dentist’s office.
Gill is a moorish idol, a species that is known for not handling captivity well. It’s no coincidence, then, that he’s the one always coming up with plans to escape – his character really matches the breed’s temperament.
