It’s not uncommon for animation studios to “recycle” scenes from older movies – most of the time, people don’t make the connection, so this is a good way to save time and money.
Some folks have a sharp eye, though, and we were impressed to learn that a seven year old boy who was watching Up at home realized he had seen this scene before. His mom paused the movie, took a pic of it, and then they were able to find the same scene in Cars 2.
