A lot of the characters in the Beauty and the Beast castle have names that are directly related to the form they’ve taken. Some of them are more obvious, like Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, and Cogsworth, but others… are not.
If you watched Beauty and the Beast as a young kid, you probably never understood why the ottoman/dog in the castle was named Sultan. That’s because, children, sultans were the rules of the Ottoman Empire.
