Remember the prophecy scene in the movie Hercules, when the Fates are telling Hades about what’s going to happen in 18 years, if he releases the Titans while the planets are aligned? You might have noticed that the image of the sky only showed six planets – well, that wasn’t an accident.
The writers wanted to accurately reflect Ancient Greece’s understanding of the solar system, so they left out a few planets – at the time, only Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn had been identified.
