This one employee took 30 sick days in six months. He claimed he was in remission from cancer, and that it sometimes left him too weak to come in to work. But he never provided any evidence of this being true, even though the department head kept telling him that he had to.
Eventually we found out he had been lying, and had in fact been going out partying with his friends all those times he had claimed to be so unwell he was in bed.
