I managed a fast food place for a while when I was around 20, and my worst employee was a 30-year-old woman. She would not respect my authority at all, and refused to do whatever I asked her.
Eventually I turned to my manager, and when he confronted her she said flat out she would never accept a teenager as her superior. When he pointed out I was actually 20, she said in that case it was ok. We still fired her for her blatant disregard of authority.
