I witnessed the following story play out in real-time. So, this IT guy and his boss were setting up a new work station. In the process, the IT guy dropped the computer monitor and it was wrecked.
Then, completely out of the blue, he went on a rave about how he wasn’t going to pay for the destroyed monitor, and peppered it with, um, colorful language. The manager simply stood there stone-faced, waiting for him to finish. When he did, he said that legally they couldn’t make him pay for something that was an honest mistake, but since he cussed him out – he was fired!
