As a teen I worked at a Dairy Queen and a middle-aged woman who lived on my street started working with us at some point. She was working the grill, and would constantly mess up burger orders so the servers would have to ask for a new burger. It seemed to happen way too often for it to be just honest mistakes.
After two weeks management found out she had been pocketing the discarded burgers to feed her dogs, because she claimed she couldn’t afford to buy dog food.
