I was a manager at a Sonic drive-in and I had to fire an employee during the most awkward and unlikely situation. The guy messed up a drink order, so he gave the wrong drink to the wrong customer.
The customer took a sip, realized it was the wrong one, and handed it back. The employee took the drink back, and instead of throwing it away, immediately gave it to the next customer (who it was supposed to go to). Unfortunately, that next customer was a health inspector.
