This woman called in sick on her very first day, and this quickly turned out to be a theme with her. When she was at work, she would constantly be on the phone instead of working. She also claimed to be anemic, and therefore had low energy (but she had accepted a position which she knew was high paced).
We brought her in for additional training after it became more and more obvious she was horribly underperforming. She spent that time looking at her fingernails. That was when I drew the line and fired her.
