This guy stole office equipment and would then post it for sale on eBay under a username which was his real first and last name…When us managers confronted him about it, he claimed we were throwing all that stuff away anyway.
I don’t know what companies just throw away their office supplies, but we definitely don’t. We kept it all locked in a cabinet inside the server room, and he clearly broke in there to steal.
