Iron Man was the movie that kicked-off the MCU in 2008, and this moment was a pretty significant one. This was the moment the producers realized how important it was to allow the actors room to improvise and go off script, and for them to take the films to the next level – not necessarily always following the comic books.
Robert Downey Jr. improvised Tony Stark telling the world he’s Iron Man, and Kevin Feige decide to go along with it. Not only that, but it also ended up being one of Iron Man’s most iconic lines, as he said it once more in Avengers: Endgame.
