Sometimes, just one extra word makes a scene. In Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man returns to Earth and reunites with Captain America, whom he hasn’t seen since the events of Captain America: Civil War. Apparently, the years apart have done little to mend Tony Stark and Steve Rogers’s fractured relationship, because they go at it almost immediately.
Tony finishes his verbal assault on Cap by saying, “No trust” and then spitting out, “Liar.” That final accusation was all RDJ, and it really drove home how hurt Tony was not only by Thanos’s victory, but also by the Avengers’ breakup.
