One of the funniest comic relief moments in Avengers: infinity war was actually Dave Bautista’s brilliant improv. In this scene, Peter Quill comes looking for Gamora and mistakes Tony for working with Thanos and asks him where she is.
Tony, who doesn’t even know WHO she is, asks him just that. That’s when Drax comes in with his hilarious line – “WHY is Gamora?”, clearly not understanding what the two are talking about. Screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus loved it, and the rest was history.
